An Evening Bike Ride

Last night I was fortunate enough to take a bike ride along the shore road into Port Elgin. What a great ride and now that the town has constructed a paved multi use recreation path between the two towns, the ride is even more enjoyable. Here is a picture Reebs snapped last night.

Evening Bike Ride

Tonight Techno Dude and I resumed our after dinner bike ride. Our goal is to make it to the Port Elgin Beach (about 5km from home). Tonight we were about a kilometer away from our goal. We stopped and took a few pictures before heading home. Here are a couple of pictures from our bike ride.

First Day of Summer?!

Today felt like the first day of summer. The sky was blue and the weather was warm, so warm we ran our a/c for the first time this year. I was thankful to have the a/c because M requested lasagna for dinner and making such a dish on a hot and humid day just isn't any fun! So besides making lasagna, I had time to do some laundry and finish the rest of the week's work.

After dinner we went to Sauble Beach and treated ourselves to ice cream from DQ. It was the first evening we didn't need to wear a jacket or warm sweater. Once we had our treats we took a walk along the beach. Here is the beautiful night sky we saw. Looks like we should have another good day tomorrow if the sailor's saying is correct, “Red at the night: sailor's delight.”

As we walked we saw a lot of different sand castles. My favourite one is also my picture of the day! The CD leaning against the side of the castle was appropriately titled 'Sauble Mix'.

Team Meeting

Tonight we had a wrap up meeting for our Relay for Life team, The Raging Hormones. It was fun to be together again. We talked about our successes and the things we'd change if we did it again. Surprisingly everyone wants to do it again. We'll keep our name and continue to build on our theme. Hopefully we'll get some new recruits too. After much discussion our team leader, we affectionately call her our Head Hormone awarded us each prizes. I got a bottle of orange juice and sunshine sun glasses because the morning of the relay was the first time I had seen the sunrise.

Today my picture is of a sunset. I'm not sure when I'll see my next sunrise, probably at the next Relay for Life, maybe I'll even take a picture of it.
