November Already!

My time flies! I can't believe it is already November, before I know it, it will be Christmas. I'm actually looking forward to the holidays. I can't wait to have both the girls home for a few weeks. I love all the traditions we have begun like staying in our jammies all of Christmas Day. Remember walking the dog's in jammies and having Will stop to talk to us on the road? How we laughed wondering if he knew how we were dressed!

This weekend was terribly windy and all the trees on our property have lost their leaves. The high winds also blew those leaves off our property :-)

On Sunday Techno Dude helped me move into my new iMac. (Okay he did the moving, I solved crossword puzzles and made tea and coffee as required.) I absolutely love the new computer, it's a lot faster and bigger than my old iMac. I also like that I now have Time Machine. No more worrying about backing up files. This is the life!

Squigly had an amazing October, both in traffic and revenue. It's been fun building the fan page on Facebook too. New fans are joining daily and I love the interaction I can have with my visitors. I need to spend this month preparing the site for Christmas, it's one of the busiest times on the site.

I want to share with you a picture of the rail trail taken a few days prior to the strong winds. Techno Dude and I enjoy walking the dogs along this trail.

A Day to Recover

Yesterday I went on a 14 hour shopping extravaganza with two really awesome friends. We left home at 8am and didn't get back until 10pm. We took off for Waterloo and hit the Conestoga Mall. Since we don't have any malls anywhere near as nice as this one near home it took us quite a while to check out most of the shops. We started at Winners and anyone who has ever been in a Winners knows that that store can take a few hours on its own. M took the bus over at lunch and joined us. What a trooper, she stuck with us the rest of the day. We laughed, we shopped, we cared for one another and in the end we all came back a little poorer, wiser, closer and much more tired than when we left. I'm still feeling it today. It took me quite a while to fall asleep last night. Perhaps my poor brain was a little over stimulated yesterday.

Today Reebs and I are looking at cell phone plans. She needs a phone to take to school. The plans are so varied, yet it's hard to find one for what we need or perhaps better said, what she can afford. Texting is a definite must. I'm also considering getting a phone so I can get in the texting mix with the girls. I can just see it now, ten minutes to send three words. Oh well, I'm up for the challenge.

Reebs also registered for Frosh week and a trip to Wonderland with UTM. I think she'll have a blast living in the city again.

On Monday the dogs were groomed. They look so cute (and feel good too), so they are the subject for my picture of the day. Josie is on the left and Fonzie on the right.
