A Rainy Day

Well today it's raining. The sky is grey and the house seems dark and a little gloomy. I've been playing my iTunes while working on editing the jokes and riddles the kiddies have submitted this month. Fortunately there aren't that many, maybe 200 instead of the usual 600 or more. Summer is a slow time for the site, I suppose it's good that the kids would rather be playing outside than hanging around inside on the computer. Unfortunately fewer kids means less revenue. Oh well, September is just around the corner which will means the kiddies will be back but on the downside summer will be almost over.

I have inherited (purchased) my youngest daughter's old camera. It's quite a technological wonder with many screens and lots of settings. I think I will have to learn a whole new language before I can start taking any good pictures :-S but I have great faith in my teachers, Reebs and Techno Dude. I hope I'm still teachable in my old age.

Well the sun is starting to peak out from behind the clouds so I might go out and try to snap a few pictures, but first I promised to go shopping with a friend. So perhaps the next time I blog I'll post a photo with my new camera.

For now I'll leave you with a picture of our latest backyard renovations. Notice the pond is gone. Hurray!

The Last Day of the Month

Yay it's finally here, the end of June. I'm happy because now I can stop editing and begin working on other things. There were some really cute stories this month so if you get a chance go on over and have a little read.

Reebs survived prom. She had a wonderful time and even came home at a respectful time. Today she and Techno Dude are off at the university registering her for classes and such. I'm sure she'll come home quite excited and with plenty of news. I stayed back because I had offered to help with soccer registration at the church. I don't mind the down time, it's been pretty busy lately. We're hoping to see some fireworks tonight if the weather holds out.

I had a really strange creature land in my backyard. Here he is in my picture of the day.
